draw, you fool, draw

While I don't think the statement is entirely true (afterall, I'm a designer and I do draw), I must admit I am bothered by how much modern designers rely on their electronic instruments to do their work FOR them. You can teach a monkey how to use Photoshop but you cannot teach it to design or create. On that note, my husband and I often tell students they shouldn't be allowed to get on a computer until they've drawn, built & gone through the creative process with their hands first.
